Long before European colonizers arrived, the indigenous people thrived on the island of Boriken, deeply attuned to the land. When conquest brought devastation, survivors went into hiding, preserving their ways in secret and eventually forming the Machete Clan — warriors who mastered the blade for survival, not conquest. Their bloodline narrowed to three families: the Riveras, the Vegas, and the Velez.
Generations later, a descendant of the Riveras is uprooted young, torn from the island and the traditions that shaped his ancestors. Cut off from his culture, he finds a new brotherhood in the streets — running with a gang alongside his cousin and lifelong friends. Now he stands at a crossroads: will the pull of this new life consume him, or will the blood and legacy of the Machete Clan find their way back to him before it's too late?
